The Hidden Valley Sno-Riders sponsored an OHRV safety course on December 12, 2009 with 17 children and 1 adult attending. Thanks to John Thompson, Lisa Robinson and Greg Hopkins all passed and received their certificates.

We need your help. On Christmas day, one of our members went for a ride and found the bridge on Trail 386 in Richardson Brook. We were able to put it back in service but this could have been prevented if we had someone adopt the trail. We are asking folks to adopt the trails near their home and check them out during the year so we don’t end up with surprises like this. Please contact David Howard at 603  863 1035 for Lempster Trails and Jim Strickland at 603 446 7566 for Marlow trails if you can help. Even if you can’t do the work, let us know so we can get it done.

Greetings Snowmobilers!

May 2010

It is at the end of the season that we reflect on what has taken place and I would like to take the time to thank all of those who have volunteered, participated and supported our club and its endeavors to date.  With out your help we would not have had such a successful year.

Congratulations to all for making it possible to receive 2nd place in Sullivan County from our Pasta Dinner Benefit held by the club to support Easter Seals Camp Sno-Mo.

The Don Landroche Memorial Cookout, held in February was a success do to all who donated and participated.

In the fall of 2009 the trail work party to cut out and reroute of the trail 392 around Tony and Yvonne’s driveway off Marlow Hill Road had a good turn out.  Thanks for all who helped.

The snowmobile safety course will be held at the Marlow School on Saturday December 4, 2010 for those twelve years of age and up.  If interested please contact John Thompson at 446-7469.

At the last meeting of the year held in April 2010, we decided on the following dates for organized work parties;  June 19, July 17, August 28, September 25, October 23 and November 6, 2010.  Mark your calendars and if you are available for any of these dates please contact Jim Strickland in Marlow at 446-7566 or David Howard in Lempster at 863-1035.

On October 8-10, 2010 the NHSA will hold their annual grass drags.  Jim Strickland is looking for volunteers to work there any or all days.  The club will receive $10.00 per hour to put towards our new groomer for each volunteer.  The deadline to sign up for volunteers is September 5, 2010.  For more information please contact Jim Strickland at 446-7566.

The state of New Hampshire has raised the registration fee $15.00 for both in residents and non-residents.  The new year begins on July 1, 2010.

The club dues will stay the same fee of $20.00, which includes both Hidden Valley Sno-Riders and the New Hampshire Snowmobile Associations.  In order to receive The Snow Traveler without any interruptions you will need to join the club by October.

Think snow for next year!
